Description
PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black, Size 3-0, 30", RB-1 Needle is a nonabsorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of silk, a natural organic protein derived from the Bombyx mori silkworm. The raw silk undergoes purification to eliminate natural waxes and gums, resulting in a clean, uniform filament suitable for surgical applications. This processing enhances the suture’s consistency and biological compatibility.
The strand is coated with a proprietary wax mixture designed to improve handling and passage through tissue. The wax coating enhances smoothness, reduces friction, and minimizes tissue trauma during suturing. It also assists in forming secure knots without compromising tensile strength or suture integrity in clinical use.
This configuration features a 30-inch suture attached to a RB-1 reverse cutting needle, measuring 17 mm in length. The black coloration increases visibility during procedures. This product is suited for use in ophthalmic, plastic, and general soft tissue surgeries where long-term tensile strength and cosmetic precision are essential.
